1000 Fill Power
1000 Fill Power down represents the pinnacle of extreme quality down.
When most high performance and luxury down products utilize 800-900 fill power down, 1000 further pushes the limits of performance, luxury and warmth.
This is a rare material that is not available every season. But with ALLIED’s unique processing equipment and methods, we are able to provide this regularly. At ALLIED, we also do not rely on tolerances to achieve and make 1000 fill power claims as others do. If we do not have a third party test report showing at least 1000 fill power, we will not sell it as such. And as is the case with any other ALLIED material, it is certified to the RDS, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and bluesign approved.

The supply chain for 1000 fill power material is small and unique – even for the down industry.
The parent farms we procure this material from, raise mother geese for several years before they finally enter the food supply chain. We have longstanding relationships and contracts to purchase this material and regularly audit these facilities to ensure no live plucking is or has taken place. These farms are amongst the most audited in the entire textile industry.
Following the procurement of the down, it is sent to ALLIED’s facility in Los Angeles where it is put through our unique processing system. ALLIED has worked for decades with the same detergent suppliers to formulate industry leading detergents that help protect the down as much as possible while being completely safe for the environment. Our work with our detergent manufacturer has also helped us significantly reduce the environmental impact of all of ALLIED’s down.
The material is delicately washed, dried, separated into only the largest and strongest down clusters and only then ready to be used in the most technical and luxurious products available.

All ALLIED material is tested rigorously according to the IDFB US standard with third parties like IDFL.
For all down labeling, there are tolerances based on the standards the garment brand is using. However, ALLIED does not use any such tolerance as others do. With the allowed 5% tolerance, actual fill power as low as 950 could potentially be labeled as 1000. If we do not achieve at least 1000 fill power with IDFB US testing through IDFL, we will not sell this material as such.
